The incident occurred on November 9 in the economic zone in Osła (Gmina Gromadka). During firefighting operations involving a container on the premises of one of the facilities, the body of a man was discovered. The victim was likely a security guard.
“An employee of one of the companies in the Osła zone found the body of a man this morning. He had been working the night shift,” says the police spokesperson for the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. “Initial findings indicate that the 63-year-old took action in response to smoke coming from one of the containers. At some point, he lost consciousness. An autopsy will determine the cause of death of the resident of Bolesławiec County,” adds Anna Kublik-Rościszewska.
Intensive investigative activities are being carried out at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor. The police are working to establish the exact causes and course of this tragic accident.
