Office: – With the consent of the affected family, we recorded a short film showing the scale of the losses after the fire at the Mocydlarz family’s home. The footage says more than words: it shows how extensive the damage caused by the fire is and how much work is needed for this place to become a home again.
Let us recall. Yesterday, the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office reported:
On the night of October 31, 2025, just before All Saints’ Day, fire destroyed the home of the Mocydlarz family in Wykroty. In an instant, the work of an entire lifetime disappeared: the roof, the ceiling, the interiors. Only ruins and the difficult silence remained after a place that, until recently, had been full of life and music. Krzysztof and Dorota lived there with their son Maksymilian and his children: Kacper (10) and Zosia (7). Today, all five are left without a roof over their heads.
And adds:
At the initiative of Mr Piotr Łuczak, leader of the “Zagajnik Wykroty” folk ensemble, which Mr Krzysztof is also a member of, the idea of organizing a fundraiser to rebuild the house was born.
The Municipality and City of Nowogrodziec supported the organizers in creating and launching the fundraiser, helping with its formal preparation and publicizing the initiative:
The funds raised will be used to purchase building materials, repair the roof and ceiling, and restore at least a sense of safety and peace to the family.
Every gesture of support matters. May the fire that took their home awaken in us the fire of solidarity and kindness.
