Heavy snowfall of wet snow took the residents of Bolesławiec by surprise. The wintry weather disrupted the plans of everyone who wanted to spend the May holiday outdoors. The roads and pavements were very slippery. Fortunately, the fire service did not report any serious road incidents. Firefighters were called out to remove from the roads tree branches that had broken under the weight of the snow. Since the morning, the Bolesławiec fire service has received a dozen or so reports of broken branches. Drivers who park their cars under trees should park elsewhere. Snow-laden branches may break and damage a car. The snow should stop falling later today.
