Let us recall: the unfortunate accident involved Opel cars with DW registration plates, a Mercedes Sprinter van with FZG registration plates, and a BMW with DBL registration plates. The van ended up in a ditch.
The Opel driver suffered the most serious injuries. As it later turned out, she was the 63-year-old perpetrator of the accident who, according to police findings, crossed into the opposite lane and caused the collision.
The seriously injured woman was taken to hospital by an Air Ambulance Service helicopter. Unfortunately, the Opel driver died as a result of her injuries. This fact was recorded on the map of fatal road accidents, published every year during the summer holiday period, as: death within 30 days of the incident.
This is already the second fatal accident to occur in Bolesławiec during this year's summer holidays. Earlier, on July 28, a pile-up occurred on the Bolesławiec bypass (DK 94), after which the most seriously injured driver died. He had also previously been taken from the accident scene by an Air Ambulance Service helicopter.
