Do we remember how breasts made of clay outraged the mayor of Bolesławiec last year at the ceramic parade? And Jarosław Rutyna, as the elder of the Ceramic Brotherhood, wrote in an open letter about damaging the ceramics trade through “promoting one’s own views.”
The question hanging in the air is: how will mayor Piotr Roman react to this sight? After all, just a year ago he criticized a topless woman’s participation in the parade. The model was painted with clay at the time and, to make matters worse, was carrying a rainbow LGBT banner. The town hall’s response? The ceramic parade was cancelled!
Now, however, the matter is more complicated, because there are dozens of “clay delights,” standing proudly in the market square and… available for purchase. Censorship? A sales ban? Or will the town hall decide that the vessels will not cause public outrage because they do not feature a rainbow?
The fairs will continue for several more days, so anything can happen.
