This is already the seventh edition of the road safety project entitled “Road Accidents Resulting in Fatalities – Holidays 2025.” Previous editions received a positive response from the public and considerable media interest.
As in previous years, every day throughout the holiday period, a map of Poland showing the number of fatal road accidents is presented on policja.pl, social media and websites administered by Police units, together with information about incidents from the previous 24 hours and since the beginning of the holidays (including the location, general information on the number of victims, the type of road user involved and the type of incident).
The map’s ongoing updates, including its visual presentation, are intended to draw attention to the scale of the tragedies occurring on Polish roads, encourage road users to reflect, and prompt the media to discuss road safety.
Since the beginning of the holidays, there have been 194 fatal accidents on roads throughout Poland, including 7 such accidents in the previous 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the holidays, there have been 13 fatal accidents in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
