This is already the seventh edition of the road safety project entitled “Fatal road accidents – Summer Holidays 2025”. Previous editions received a positive response from the public and attracted considerable media interest. The police are making a special map available as a warning.
As in previous years, every day throughout the summer holidays, the website policja.pl, social media and websites administered by Police units present a map of Poland showing the number of fatal road accidents, together with information about the incidents (i.e. the location of the incident, general information on the number of victims, the type of road user and the type of incident) from the last 24 hours and since the start of the summer holidays.
The ongoing updating of the map, including its visual presentation, is intended to draw attention to the scale of the tragedies occurring on Polish roads, encourage road users to reflect, and encourage the media to discuss road safety.
Since the start of the summer holidays, there have been 133 fatal accidents on roads throughout Poland, including 3 such accidents in the last 24 hours.
In Lower Silesian Voivodeship, there have been 11 fatal accidents since the start of the summer holidays.
