The contractor and originator of the idea is a former employee of Zakłady Ceramiczne „Bolesławiec”, who now runs his own company. Andrzej Pachom, a ceramic artist, has created, among other things, ceramic paintings that adorn Bolesławiec’s Orka and the conference room of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, as well as a ceramic painting that was placed on the façade of the main building of Zakłady Ceramiczne in 2013.

A ceramic mosaic will be created on Bolesława Prusa Street, one of the oldest thoroughfares in the city of ceramics. It will emphasise the importance of the street and the significance of Bolesławiec ceramics. It will undoubtedly also become one of Bolesławiec’s more interesting tourist attractions.

The individual tiles were made by the artist’s friends. That is why the entire work is called “Bolesławiec Friendship Gate”.
