Let us assume that we buy a company—writes Leszek Socha—that is doing well or moderately well. What do we do? Do we throw the entire staff out onto the street and bring in amateurs and flatterers? Of course not!
If we have professionals, we retain them and fill the gaps or dismiss the incompetent. And what was done after 1989? Entire intelligence and counterintelligence structures were destroyed, lists of agents were published and our enemies were informed. Such transformations took place within the services that, in reality, significantly lowered their quality. That is, the SECURITY OF THE STATE AND ITS CITIZENS.
In my opinion, the services became limited to protecting the interests of those in power. There is no point in deluding ourselves: our attachment to our homeland and tradition was exploited. This is fuel for the hypocrisy of politicians at every level.
It is announced far and wide that the outgoing authorities and their members committed criminal abuses. I ask: what stands in the way of holding them accountable for this—in accordance with the election promise? The government and its bodies have all the instruments provided by the law already in force to initiate and conduct criminal proceedings. They could have imprisoned them long ago while securing the evidence. I do not trust the current services, since after every change of government their heads can be replaced regardless of their qualifications and suitability for the position they hold.
The widespread false propaganda dividing society and the ridicule directed at the Polish state on the international stage testify to politicians' incompetence; this, in turn, creates a real danger of losing our statehood. What is more, people who draw attention to this are treated as enemies of the state, and fabrications are created and their biographies altered, besmirching their life's achievements in order to undermine their credibility. It worries me that people employed in the services, seeing this, do not react or protest.
There is no real accountability for politicians and senior officials for their words and decisions. A widespread fiction driven by fear, hate, slander, false accusations, manipulation of facts and the creation of diversionary topics only disperses society's unity.
An anti-Polish domestic policy is being pursued, probably supported by foreign states, which in turn declassifies the Polish services.
I remind you that we have the services so that they eliminate threats before they arise. This is what I was taught; this is what we swore an oath to do; this is what society expects of us.
Is there any authority that can prevent this Polish destructive madness? No! Because all authorities have been destroyed, and effective measures are being taken to prevent new ones from emerging. This is a precise plan spread out over time.
People are ready to fight a fabricated enemy, and that enemy is none other than a Pole, a neighbor, simply someone with different views. Patriots are enemies, and enemies are patriots; most Poles are lost. Such a situation is ideal for taking over this state without much effort.
If a lie in the public sphere and the lack of official accountability for words and decisions lie at the root of this chaos, then why do politicians not react to efforts to codify this phenomenon?
