As a result of the tender, the bid submitted by Holcim Polska S.A., the Polish subsidiary of the Swiss Holcim Group, was selected. It is one of the largest construction companies in the region. Bids were submitted both from Poland and abroad—more than 20 proposals arrived, approximately 30% of them from Polish entities.
The sale covered only the plant’s assets—with no acquisition of shares or any potential liabilities of the former company—which provides the buyer with legal protection and eliminates the risk of claims from the previous owners.
Holcim Polska is taking over the production plant, including domestic and European market distribution. This is a strategic step that will allow the company to strengthen its insulation offering, in line with its environmental goals and the development of the energy-efficient building solutions segment.
Are there any announcements of layoffs?
Press materials and investor information do not mention any planned workforce reduction. The factory is considered one of the largest employers in the region; its launch under Holcim represents a continuation of operations rather than their winding down.
Holcim is more likely to focus on maintaining, and even expanding, employment—especially since the new investment supports its strategy in the insulation segment. For now, there are no indications or official information about planned layoffs.
