The election campaign is becoming increasingly heated. Rafał Trzaskowski’s opponents are destroying his promotional materials. The banners are either painted over or cut up. The posters are being torn down. Civic Coalition activists have to repair the damage every few moments.
A video recording from Karola Miarki Street shows that the vandal was not a young person at all, but an older man.
– There were two banners on Łasicka Street; they were painted green, so I put up another two, and they are still hanging—I checked today. I put one up on Wróblewskiego Street, and they cut it up. I put up a new one yesterday. And this is some kind of method. I put up two banners at the intersection with Dolne Młyny; they were destroyed, so I put up more. We do not want to escalate this social division; we are simply doing what Trzaskowski did yesterday: he extended his right hand to those boxes on the other side. And that is what we are doing, says Karol Stasik, a longtime Civic Coalition activist.
