The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) reminds applicants that the deadline for submitting applications for funding for thermal modernisation and the replacement of heat sources under the "Clean Air" programme for flood victims has been extended. The original deadline, set for the end of March, has been postponed until the end of November 2025.
The modifications introduced in the "Clean Air" programme are intended to streamline the financial support process for people affected by a natural disaster. The most significant change is the increase of the maximum grant to PLN 136,200 for the poorest applicants. These funds may be used for comprehensive home thermal modernisation, including an energy audit, replacement of the heat source and installation of photovoltaic panels.
Another significant modification is the removal of the income threshold for beneficiaries applying for the basic level of funding. As a result, the programme is becoming more accessible to a wider group of people in need of support, regardless of their financial situation.
In addition, funding for thermal modernisation will be granted regardless of the date on which the building permit was obtained, the construction was reported or the construction work was carried out, which significantly simplifies the application procedure. Beneficiaries will not need to provide their own contribution.
Giving up the requirement for the beneficiary’s own contribution is crucial, especially in the context of the sudden and often catastrophic financial situation faced by people affected by the flood.
The procedures for reviewing applications and paying grants have also been shortened to 14 days from the date the complete documentation is received by NFOŚiGW.
