The incident occurred on February 27. As Złotoryja firefighters reported at the time:
(…) at 2:04 p.m., the duty officer at the Command Post of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Złotoryja received a report that one of the students at an educational center in Złotoryja had choked.
They added: – Upon arriving at the scene, the situation required immediate support for the emergency medical team present and conducting advanced procedures. In addition, a second team of rescuers was assigned to secure the site and coordinate the landing of the Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was carried out throughout. After approximately 70 minutes of efforts, the casualty was transported to the LPR helicopter.
The 10-year-old boy was taken to hospital, where, as reported by mojazlotoryja.pl, he died after several days.
