On Saturday, February 26, the 6th “MAUPa” Puzzle Assembly Marathon was held in the conference room of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn. Ten teams took part in the competition: Grupa Pościgowa, Wesoła Czwórka, Nie Trzaskać Firanką, Quatro Ragazze, Dream Team, Czarne Diabły, Studentki, Może Być Problem, Niemamocni and Daza.
The event attracted considerable interest. More people wanted to take part than the conference room at the Bolesławiec GOKiS could accommodate. While the adults assembled puzzles, children could, among other things, surf the internet at the Kruszyn library, which was open until midnight that day. The hit of MAUPa, however, was the Misiu Zdzisiu puzzle game.
This year, the marathon participants had to assemble a puzzle depicting the German Moyland Castle. For the third consecutive time, Grupa Pościgowa proved to be the best, with Agnieszka Kołodziej, Bożena Wieczorek, Karolina Wieczorek and Natalia Kołodziej on the team. It took the champions 4 hours and 43 minutes to assemble the 1,500-piece puzzle.
The Nie Trzaskać Firanką team finished assembling the puzzle fifteen minutes later. Its members were Agnieszka Calów, Aleksandra Forys, Grzegorz Baszczyj and Paweł Wilas. Third place went to Dream Team, whose members were Teresa Mularczyk, Weronika Pawlikowska, Edyta Pawlikowska, Brygida Laudani and Marzena Miler.
The event was enhanced by a performance from Agnieszka Miszkiewicz. The media patron of the event was the “Istotne Informacje” portal and newspaper.
