As established by the Bolesławiec police, two minors were riding the scooter; the rider did not have a bicycle card, which means she was not allowed to operate an electric scooter. Moreover, she was carrying a passenger, which is also prohibited. The result? The officers: – The materials concerning the incident will be referred to the family court.
The police appeal to parents to ensure that children who have turned 10 take the bicycle card exam and also know how and where they may ride an electric scooter.
On 24 February at approximately 5:00 p.m. in Bożejowice, a dangerous incident occurred in which the driver of a Mercedes, turning right into his property, hit two girls, aged 10 and 11, who were riding an electric scooter.
– The vehicle driver failed to yield to the minor riding the scooter; no one was injured, the Bolesławiec police reported.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries—the victims suffered only minor injuries, and the vehicle driver was fined.
The police are conducting an explanatory investigation.
