On Monday, February 3, 2025, at 4:06 p.m., firefighters received a report of a car fire on road 2271 D between Osiecznica and Świętoszów. Rescue crews from the Volunteer Fire Department in Osiecznica, the Military Fire Department in Świętoszów and OSP Ławszowa were dispatched.
According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle caught fire while driving. Fortunately, no one suffered serious injuries; however, Weronika draws attention to the disturbing attitude of most drivers:
The most upsetting thing about the whole situation was that my husband and I were the only people who stopped and wanted to help the man. Everyone else preferred to record it on their phones.
Firefighters appeal for caution and remind people that in similar incidents, it is essential to stay safe, call the emergency services and—as far as possible—help those affected.
