Leszek Socha is a resident of Nowogrodziec and an activist with the Veto Association, who supported Mayor Joanna Świder during the most recent campaign. During the local-government campaign in March 2024, anonymous authors circulated a false recording of Joanna Świder and Leszek Socha discussing politics online. The recording was created using artificial intelligence. We wrote about the matter in the article Scandal in Nowogrodziec. A false recording was made featuring candidate Joanna Świder.
“Lies that run through social media—public and local—are a cancer of the Polish state,” says Leszek Socha. “Lying is our second reality, which we accept to a greater or lesser extent. I do not accept it, and because I fight media vulgarity, I become its victim. Among other things, one of the newly appointed officials in our municipality attributes every evil that could possibly befall the planet to me, claiming that I attack everyone, even those I do not know. Apparently, from what I understand, I am dangerous because I expose lies and some politicians’ actions. These days, the truth is something that can get you into trouble, and I will have to deal with that. Every piece of information should be based on the truth. I am counting on your support,” Socha adds.
Leszek Socha announced that the KO circle in Nowogrodziec is working on drafting an initial text, which they intend to send to parliamentary circles.
