The incident occurred on Friday, January 21. After 12:00 p.m., a BMW and a Volkswagen Passat collided head-on near Wartowice. As a result of the collision, 7 people were taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. The road where the accident occurred was very slippery. Two fire service units from Bolesławiec and an ambulance service took part in the rescue operation.

The same day, a collision also occurred on Wróblewski Street in Bolesławiec. A truck hit the rear of a Volkswagen Golf, which had stopped at a traffic light. The passenger car driver was taken to hospital.
