The Bolesławiec local government officials declared their help in collecting money. Two candidates for president took part in the collection: Dariusz Kwaśniewski (PO) and Bogusław Nowak (an independent candidate). They were joined by county head Cezary Przybylski. Piotr Roman did not go around with a collection box. However, as he had promised, he donated PLN 300 to WOŚP (the potential fine for driving a garbage truck without the required authorization).
The amounts collected by Kwaśniewski and Nowak differed considerably. Nowak, as a volunteer, collected PLN 3,397.56. This placed him first on the list among all the volunteers. Dariusz Kwaśniewski collected PLN 255.71. The county head performed worst. His collection box contained only PLN 89.90.
The young volunteers can boast impressive results. Sandra Słobodzian collected PLN 3,064, Marta Cieśla PLN 2,344, and Monika Siniak PLN 1,957. More than PLN 1,000 was collected by: Agnieszka Lachowicz, Bartek Chmielewski, Pamela Kozak, Adriana Galik, Paulina Boroch, Paweł Miżdal, Aleksandra Zubiel, Agnieszka Lenkiewicz, Sandra Czyżewska, Dominika Wójcik and Łukasz Kozłowski. Congratulations to the young volunteers.
We recommend that future candidates for councilor and president consider collecting donations for charitable campaigns. It is one way to test one’s own popularity or ability to win voters over.
