On Saturday, 17 August, at the Ceramic Museum, during a meeting with representatives of local ceramic companies, mayor Piotr Roman announced that the ceramic festival in the form we know is coming to an end.

There will no longer be a parade opening the festival.

This is probably the result of hooligans breaking the rules of the Ceramic Parade: they set off flares, attacked a woman and shouted vulgar insults. Security did not react to these incidents at all.

The mayor appealed to ceramic producers to help create a new format for the festival.

It turns out that what bothered the mayor was a rainbow banner reading “We are all made of the same clay!”, rather than the hooligans’ disturbance in the city center.
