The Lower Silesian Voivodeship government has once again responded to the expectations of regional entrepreneurs by launching another edition of the “Going Global” project in March. Following the success of the previous edition, a decision was made to continue activities supporting Lower Silesian companies. The project’s update was made possible thanks to the involvement of previous participants, who shared their preferences regarding new foreign markets and business missions to specific trade events. The new edition of the “Going Global 4.0 – Internationalisation of Lower Silesian Enterprises” project includes a total of 28 business missions for 288 companies over the next 18 months.
- Going Global 4.0 is a multifaceted programme supporting the regional economy and its expansion into foreign markets. We plan to promote our entrepreneurs in markets that are new to us, while also strengthening our presence in those where they are already operating successfully. Our project is attracting considerable interest from Lower Silesian entrepreneurs, which proves that the business missions planned as part of the project address the real needs of companies – says Paweł Gancarz, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. – Participation in Collision in Toronto and XR Fair in Tokyo was only the beginning; further activities lie ahead. So far, as part of both missions, we have enabled 18 Lower Silesian entrepreneurs to participate, and we invite more companies to take part in the recruitment process. The next one begins on 5 August and is aimed at those interested in participating in IFA in Berlin – adds Marshal Paweł Gancarz.

During the last two business missions to Toronto and Tokyo, entrepreneurs succeeded in establishing many valuable business contacts and signing their first contracts with foreign partners.
– We continuously monitor the achievements of our companies, which share their successes with us during individual missions, and therefore today we can already report 136 new business contacts and two signed commercial contracts on their behalf. The Voivodeship government supports entrepreneurs from the SME sector because they are an important pillar of our economy. Through Going Global, we want to emphasise that we owe the strong condition of our region to a great extent to them – says Michał Rado, Deputy Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The Going Global 4.0 project covers three continents and focuses on activities with an international reach. As part of the project’s activities, business missions to the following trade fairs have been planned for the rest of this year: IFA Berlin, Expand North Star Dubai, Web Summit Lisbon, IoT Tech Expo Amsterdam, Connectivity World Madrid and Space Tech Expo Europe. In 2025, among the many destinations, the mission to Expo 2025 Osaka deserves particular mention. The World Expo is the largest and most important economic and promotional event in the world.
