Deputy Mayor of Gmina Bolesławiec Jacek Łuczkowski withdrew from Impuls Lokalny after the local elections. Behind his decision was his colleague Maciej Małkowski entering into cooperation with Tomasz Gabrysiak. As Łuczkowski explains, at the DNA of Impuls Lokalny was opposition to the entrenched authorities.
– This year's Impuls campaign became a local initiative, and Impuls supported other movements seeking change to the ossified authorities; we supported all those movements – said Jacek Łuczkowski. – It is no secret that we strongly supported the municipalities of Nowogrodziec and Warta Bolesławiecka. After the elections, seeing what was happening, I withdrew from Impuls Lokalny and no longer take part in its activities. Today, if seven daring people came forward and decided to establish an association and met the legal requirements, they could establish Impuls Lokalny, because Impuls was never formalized in any way. Everyone must answer in their own conscience what program we ran with, what our DNA is, what we wanted to achieve and where we are now; that is an individual matter for everyone – said the deputy mayor.
Grażyna Hanaf also asked Łuczkowski, who was president of Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Siatkarskie (BTS), whether the BTS board had compared the 50,000 zł amount that the city will give restaurateur Bogusław Nowak to organize a one-off event with the year-round subsidy for BTS.
– In reality, this is the policy we want to introduce into sport when it comes to the city and the implementation of public tasks – said Jacek Łuczkowski. – What funds does the city want to allocate to recreation and competitive sport? I weigh my words carefully, but if this year BTS receives, which is no secret because one only needs to look at the implementation of public tasks, 8,500 zł for the seniors, if I remember correctly, as well as funding of 28,500 and 4,000 for cadets and 8,000 for mini-volleyball, then everyone can assess whether these are fair funds or not. Renting the hall at the school on Jana Pawła II Street costs 1,000–1,500 zł per month. The cost of the sports hall alone is enough to multiply by 10 months to see what the expense is, and where is everything else…? – asked the former BTS president rhetorically.
