As reported by the Bolesławiec municipal office, the roadside bollards will soon disappear from Kościuszki Street. The reason? The office: – Dolnośląska Służba Dróg i Kolei we Wrocławiu has signed a contract to build a sidewalk along provincial road no. 297, Kościuszki Street, in Bolesławiec and Łąka. The designed pedestrian route will complete the missing section of sidewalk between Bolesławiec and Łąka. Currently, pedestrians use the paved shoulder.
Municipal officials add: – At Kościuszki Street, heavy goods vehicles account for a significant share of the traffic, which negatively affects pedestrian safety. The planned sidewalk will be separated from the roadway by locating it behind a drainage ditch.
The section will begin at the entrance to the IBF production plant and end at the pedestrian crossing, connecting to the existing sidewalk on the right-hand side.
The sidewalk is to be built within seven months.
