It turned out that the van was being driven by a 39-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County who is subject to a court-ordered driving ban. Breaking this ban carries a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.

In the evening, at approximately 7:38 p.m., a serious road accident occurred on provincial road 350, near the village of Kliczków. The van overturned and left the road.
Fire service units and emergency medical teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. According to preliminary information, one person was injured in the accident.
The rescue operation involved the Fire and Rescue Unit in Bolesławiec and the Volunteer Fire Department in Osiecznica, as well as emergency medical teams from Bolesławiec.
