The Honorary Badge of the Association of War Invalids of the Republic of Poland is awarded by the Main Board at the request of the association’s county branch.
"We wanted to recognize Ms Janina for her outstanding service to war invalids. Ms Babijczuk actively participates in the life of veterans and, as a doctor, has repeatedly helped our members selflessly," said Józef Dolecki, chairman of the Bolesławiec branch of the Association.
"I am surprised that such a prestigious distinction was awarded to me. It is all the more valuable to me because it was granted by people who are true authorities in my eyes," said Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk.
