The reconstruction of Karola Miarki and Żwirki i Wigury Streets has been completed. The opening ceremony for the modernized streets was attended, among others, by Lower Silesian Voivode Rafał Jurkowlaniec, district governor Cezary Przybylski, deputy district governor Stanisław Chwojnicki, Chairman of the District Council Karol Stasik, Deputy Chairman of the District Council Jarosław Molenda, member of the Bolesławiec District Board Dariusz Kwaśniewski and Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec Wiesław Ogrodnik.
“I realize that the construction process itself was troublesome for residents, but we made an effort to square the circle,” says Cezary Przybylski. “We had permission to close the entire street for the duration of the renovation, but we decided against it, precisely for the benefit of residents.
“The reconstruction of Karola Miarki and Żwirki i Wigury Streets was made possible thanks to the excellent cooperation of Bolesławiec District, the Municipality and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship local government. Thanks to this cooperation, we have a road that will serve all the residents of Bolesławiec,” adds Rafał Jurkowlaniec.
The modernization cost PLN 7.5 million. Half of this amount came from European Union funds. The remainder was contributed by the District Office and the Bolesławiec Municipal Commune.
