Currently, for the past eight years, I have professionally served as Director of the District Family Support Centre in Bolesławiec. Every day, I raise two children and help my husband run a gynaecological clinic in Bolesławiec. I hold master’s degrees in psychology, pedagogy and special education. I specialise in organising social assistance and have completed postgraduate management studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
As a member of the Regional Assembly, I will use my extensive professional experience, competencies, skills and knowledge to represent the needs of women, seniors and all those who need help. The Left consistently stands for freedom, equality and social justice.
These are the foundations of my campaign priorities. As a member of the assembly, I would like, among other things, to achieve the following goals:
Increase the role of primary healthcare facilities (POZ). Prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, early diagnosis and an ongoing relationship with patients are crucial to improving the health of Polish women and men. Develop coordinator care in POZ and strengthen the role of the coordinator, who supports patients in completing the treatment process efficiently and as quickly as possible, as well as in their subsequent convalescence and rehabilitation.
Widely accessible psychological and psychiatric care should be financed by the state, including by ensuring universal access to psychological and psychiatric assistance within the public healthcare system, thereby reversing the privatisation of these areas.
Increase access to free psychotherapy under the National Health Fund (NFZ) and enable access to a psychologist without a referral. Increase the share of expenditure on psychological and psychiatric care in healthcare spending, with particular emphasis on treating children and young people.
Hospitals throughout Poland should be modern and safe places where patients can receive effective treatment. This requires renovations and the purchase of modern equipment. An additional PLN 4 billion annually should be allocated for renovations and equipment purchases in district and regional hospitals.
Every pregnant woman—regardless of age—should have access to a broad range of reimbursed prenatal tests, including genetic ultrasound, PAPP-A and triple tests, the most modern non-invasive prenatal tests and, when medically indicated, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling and cordocentesis.
Maternity wards should operate effectively in district hospitals, while women giving birth should be treated with dignity.
Every prescription medicine should cost no more than PLN 5 per package. The same rule should apply to medical devices such as insulin pumps, hearing aids and inhalers. Prescription medicines should be free for children, pensioners, disability pensioners, pregnant women and transplant patients.
Polish society is ageing. The state and local governments should combat loneliness and support the activation of all older people, as well as help families care for dependent seniors. Therefore, a day-care centre should be established in every municipality.
People with disabilities should be guaranteed systemic support, including increased access to post-hospital educational services, care and treatment facilities, sanatoriums and rehabilitation centres. Local governments should support initiatives aimed at people with disabilities and fulfil their obligations related to financing transport for students with disabilities to schools.
Almost three-quarters of parents combine raising children with work. Despite this, fewer than one-quarter of children attend a nursery. To make nurseries affordable for every family, approximately 100,000 new places should be provided, co-financed by the European Union.
An additional PLN 1 billion annually should be allocated to insurance for farmers. The funds currently allocated in the budget for this purpose run out in the second quarter of the year, meaning that many farmers wishing to use insurance against the risk of agricultural losses caused by random events cannot access state support.
The profitability of agricultural production lines should be improved, and action should be taken to increase production profitability by purchasing agricultural produce for material reserves. Above all, local food purchases by supermarkets and canteens should be promoted.
Investment in public transport is also important, so that a train reaches every district and a bus reaches every municipality.
And finally, most importantly, safety in schools for everyone—including enabling cases of violence in schools to be reported quickly and anonymously via a mobile application. Schools should provide healthy and free meals. No child should go to school hungry; primary school pupils must be guaranteed a free, hot and nutritious lunch that takes individual dietary needs into account.
Funding should also be increased for local governments that want to build rental housing. In the case of municipal housing, the maximum grant from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego should increase from 85% to 100% of construction costs. Social housing should be developed by creating incentives for municipalities to provide land for investments by Social Housing Associations (TBS) and Social Housing Initiatives (SIM).
I ask for your support in the upcoming local elections.
Vote on 7 April; every vote counts.
