A limited edition of mugs designed and produced by Lady Blue ceramics studio – Paulina Stefańczyk to mark the 30th anniversary of the film “Forrest Gump” was given to the filmmakers who made the documentary “The Spirit of Beaufort: Remembering Forrest Gump”. The director of the latter is Daniel Stanisławski, a Lower Silesian filmmaker.
The film by our fellow townsman was presented at the 18th International Film Festival in Beaufort, South Carolina. Not by chance. It was in Beaufort that most of the footage for the now-iconic “Forrest Gump” was shot.
Daniel Stanisławski first watched this Oscar-winning work in the 1990s, still on VHS. – I fell in love with this story and this character – recalls the documentary’s author. – I love American cinema, I love the United States. And “Forrest Gump” is a film that presents an outline of the entire history of this country.
The film is devoted to the residents of Beaufort who worked on the creation of one of the most famous works by the distinguished American director Robert Zemeckis.
