A reader called us and informed the editorial office about material concerning Zakłady Mięsne Niebieszczańscy. In the recording, published on 17 February on the “Skarga Tv – walczymy o wasze prawa” channel, the host spoke with a woman who had allegedly worked in two shops belonging to the company.

The programme host stressed that he had information from employees of the facilities that a “procedure of unpacking” meat from Spain and Ireland was taking place there, after which it was sold as a Polish product. He added that Skarga Tv had videos showing how many foreign trucks arrived at the aforementioned Lower Silesian facilities.

He also pointed out that, in his opinion, this was “blatant fraud” for which UOKiK should impose a fine on the company.

What is more, according to the programme’s guest, the meat was not particularly fresh: “The goods arrive and, in fact, they start to stink that same day or the next.” During the recording, which lasted more than 40 minutes, the informant also mentioned that sanitary inspections in ZM Niebieszczańscy shops had been very superficial. She added significantly: “No woman from the sanitary inspection ever did her shopping at our place.”

The programme host also mentioned that the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Janusz Kowalski had recently visited Zakłady Mięsne Niebieszczańscy and thanked the company for supporting Polish farmers so strongly. According to the host, however, during the protest scheduled for 20 February, farmers should block access to these facilities.

A statement appeared on the company’s website:

In connection with information that appeared on social media, the management board of Zakłady Mięsne Niebieszczańscy informs that it distributes goods on the retail, wholesale and foreign markets.

For 34 uninterrupted years, we have processed Polish meat; however, as a company operating on the market of EU countries, we also purchase from and sell to other European Union countries.
