On Saturday (30 October), BKS Bobrzanie hosted Strzelinianka Strzelin. In the 15th minute, Łukasz Filipiak passed to Ariel Sworacki, who attempted to surprise the visiting goalkeeper with a header. Unfortunately, the shot was too weak. In the 19th minute, Adam Klimas produced a fine strike. After his shot, the ball bounced off the crossbar. In the 25th minute, the visitors’ defenders cleared the ball inaccurately, and it fell to Ariel Sworacki. He tried to lob the goalkeeper but missed the goal. In the 30th minute, Marek Przykłota saved a powerful shot from a Strzelin player. A minute later, BKS conceded a goal. The visitors took a throw-in, and the carelessness of the Bolesławiec defence allowed Rafał Brusiło to reach the ball and beat Marek Przykłota from close range. The score remained unchanged until the end of the first half.
BKS played much better in the second half than in the first. Our players moved the ball faster and repeatedly created danger in front of the visitors’ goal. In the 49th minute, Kamil Mielnik crossed into the Strzelin penalty area. Łukasz Filipiak rose to meet the ball and headed it past the visiting goalkeeper. BKS dominated until the end of the match and created many chances in front of the visitors’ goal. First, Chrystian Serkies shot into the side netting. Łukasz Polański also failed to convert an excellent opportunity. One-on-one with the goalkeeper, the player first shot straight at him, and then hit the post with the follow-up. Łukasz Filipiak, BKS’s goalscorer, had a very good match. In the 72nd minute, he shot beneath the crossbar from a tight angle. The visiting goalkeeper, with great difficulty, tipped the ball behind for a corner. Shortly afterwards, Filipiak took a free kick. The visiting goalkeeper did not even move, and the ball... struck the post.
In the second half, BKS dominated the Strzelinianka players, although the visitors came close to surprising the Bolesławiec goalkeeper with a long-range shot. The sun blinded Marek Przykłota so badly during that shot that the BKS goalkeeper was unable to control the ball’s flight effectively. It ultimately hit the crossbar. No more goals were scored in the match. Towards the end, the visitors played for time. Strzelinianka “held on” to the draw until the referee’s final whistle. BKS Bobrzanie drew 1:1 with Strzelinianka Strzelin. Our team is eighth in the Lower Silesian fourth-division table.
