Łagów lies between Lakes Łagowskie and Trześniowskie, right next to the border of the Łagów-Sulęcin Landscape Park. This picturesque village was once a town and centuries ago an important centre of Lusatian culture. The place is known primarily for the Knights Hospitaller Castle and the observation tower with a wonderful panorama of the surrounding area. The building dates back to the late Middle Ages and was the seat of armed knights of the Order of Malta. Historic defensive town gates and half-timbered buildings in the centre of the village have also been preserved.
