– Today we are here together with Mr Radek Palczewski, as well as Przemek Godek from Bolesławiec, who conducted the campaign here. We wanted to sincerely thank all the residents of Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec County for their trust. Especially for the fact that we were able to be together throughout these weeks of the campaign – said MP Piotr Borys.

– We wanted to thank the residents of Bolesławiec because the Civic Coalition defeated Law and Justice by nearly 37% to 28%. This is a great result. It is largely due to the people who worked very hard. I would like to thank Radek Palczewski and Przemek Godek. I would also like to sincerely thank Karol Stasik, who is chairman of the Civic Coalition structures. This is a great responsibility for all of us because we won 5 seats in this district, tied with PiS, but in reality regained 2 seats. Today, the opposition-to-PiS balance in this electoral district is 7 to 5: 5 Civic Coalition seats and one seat each for the Third Way and the Left. This would not have happened without, first of all, hard work, but above all, trust. Today, as we know, the joint statement by the four leaders, Donald Tusk, Szymon Hołownia, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Włodzimierz Czarzasty, clearly indicated that we are moving toward formalizing a parliamentary majority that will nominate a candidate for prime minister, as well as candidates for the positions of speakers of the Sejm and Senate. This means that the president has now formally learned that there is a parliamentary majority capable of appointing a prime minister, and I hope he will shorten the constitutional deadlines. It will be a great—I emphasize once again—an enormous responsibility, because never before has any government in Poland had such enormous support from citizens, the sovereign, as Law and Justice puts it. More than 11, or nearly 11.5 million Polish women and men supported the parties of the democratic opposition, for which we are immensely grateful. Once again, I also thank Radek, the candidate from Bolesławiec, and Przemek. As it happens, among all the candidates I received the largest result, the highest result on the Civic Coalition list, of all opposition candidates, and all the more I personally thank you for your support, as someone also born in Bolesławiec – added the Civic Coalition MP.

– Ladies and Gentlemen, I also wish to add my thanks. I thank everyone who worked for us in Bolesławiec County, in our district. Thank you for the votes cast, because that is what matters most, as the MP said: that we won and that we have 5 seats. The votes cast for us, the votes cast for me, although I did not win a seat, were not wasted. They supported the Civic Coalition list. Thanks to this, we have what we have. This would not have happened without your commitment, without the hundreds of volunteers who helped us during our campaign, without the social movement that formed around us. Once again, my heartfelt thanks. I thank our leaders, I thank the MPs on the list, and I thank you, those who voted for us. We will not waste this victory – said Radosław Palczewski, who also ran on the KO list.

– I would very much like to congratulate our MP, Mr Radek, on achieving good results in this election campaign. And above all, as the coordinator of the trip to the March for Freedom in Warsaw, I would like to thank our sponsors who paid for the coaches and for the June and October marches. They were Stanisław Kuduk, a farmer and entrepreneur from Warta Bolesławiecka, and Dariusz Sas, who also sponsored a coach and a bus. I thank all the participants who travelled from Bolesławiec and marched in Warsaw. I would also like to sincerely thank county chairman Karol Stasik for his help, as well as Mr Janek Cołokidzi, who also partially sponsored the trip. Thank you very much once again, and congratulations to our winners – said KO activist Przemysław Godek.

– We would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers from throughout our region who took part in this march of one million people. They provided enormous support. We differed from our competitors from PiS in that we were helped simply by volunteers—hundreds of people, indeed thousands of people involved. I am immensely grateful for that – Piotr Borys added at the end.
