On October 21, fourth-tier BKS hosted Piast Żmigród at Rajska in Bolesławiec. In the first half, it looked as though teams next to each other in the table were playing one another. There was no visible difference in terms of possession, passing combinations or chances. In reality, however, BKS are bottom of the table, while Piast are in the upper part of it. The goalless score remained until the 39th minute. Then, following a team move, Władysław Shvets opened the scoring, making it 1–0 to the visitors.
Four more goals were scored after the break. All of them came from the visitors. In the 66th minute, Adrian Repski made it 2–0 to Piast. In the 70th minute, the same player increased the lead to 3–0. Piast’s fourth goal came in the 88th minute, scored by Kacper Oberc. Adrian Pytlik set the final score in the 90th minute. Piast Żmigród defeated BKS 5–0 (1–0).
Despite the heavy defeat, the Bolesławiec side cannot be faulted for a lack of ambition. The team played openly. They did not sit back and defend their goal, instead playing attacking football and creating chances, but once again they lacked clinical finishing. They lacked it so much that they failed to score even a consolation goal. Next week, the Bolesławiec side will play away against Górnik Złotoryja.
Attention: the BKS II–GKS Tomaszów Bolesławiecki match scheduled for Sunday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m., has been postponed. The reason is heavy rainfall and a waterlogged pitch.
