On Saturday, October 2, BKS hosted Chrobry II Głogów. The Głogów team consisted almost entirely of young players. From the opening minutes, the hosts attacked the visitors’ goal. In the 2nd minute, Łukasz Filipiak took a free kick. However, the technical shot caused no problems for the goalkeeper from Głogów. In the 12th minute, the visitors launched a counterattack. Kamil Szczęśniak shot at Sebastian Łokaj’s goal, but the BKS goalkeeper was not caught off guard. In the 15th minute, Kamil Mielnik had a scoring opportunity, but after his shot the ball bounced off a defender’s leg and went beyond the end line.

In the 24th minute, Łukasz Filipiak, who was active that day, had another opportunity. Unfortunately, the player’s shot was too weak to surprise the visiting goalkeeper. Thirty minutes of continuous BKS attacks produced no goal. Meanwhile, the visitors managed just two moves ending in shots. In the final quarter of the first half, the game lost momentum. In the 41st minute, Jan Wojciechowski (a former BKS player) shot from distance, but the ball went wide of the BKS goal. In the 45th minute, there was chaos in front of Chrobry’s goal, but the visitors managed to clear the ball in stages.

In the 49th minute, following a three-man move involving Emil Nowakowski, Łukasz Filipiak and Chrystian Serkies, the latter beat the goalkeeper from Głogów to make it 1:0 to BKS. The goalscorer could have extended the lead seven minutes later, but his shot was off target. In the 65th minute, the same player wasted another opportunity by shooting straight at the goalkeeper. Two minutes later, BKS put together a fine team move. Łukasz Filipiak played the ball to Kamil Mielnik, who then beat the goalkeeper with a powerful shot.

BKS remained on top until the end of the match but did not score again. Kamil Mielnik also missed a good opportunity to extend the lead. The hosts made a great many mistakes: inaccurate passes, lost possession and wayward shots. BKS won numerous corners throughout the match, but not one resulted in a goal. All this meant that the second half looked like a disjointed scramble. The visitors played even worse. Bartosz Machaj ended one of their few counterattacks with a shot, but Sebastian Łokaj was not caught off guard. BKS defeated Chrobry Głogów’s reserves 2:0. The three points are pleasing, but the style of play in which they were earned is a concern. With 9 points, our team sits 12th in the competition table.

BKS: Łokaj - Pietrzak, Nowakowski M., Gajewski, Kumoś (88' Bednarowski), Klimas (68' Gogut), Polański (82' Głowacki), Nowakowski E., Filipiak, Mielnik, Serkies (74' Sworacki).
