On Saturday (September 4), BKS Bobrzanie hosted GKS Kobierzyce. After losing to Ślęza Wrocław, Bolesławiec were at the bottom of the IV league table. Before the match began, the board, players and supporters said goodbye to Robert Nitarski. The longtime BKS player decided to end his football career in the IV league. However, Robert is not leaving football entirely. The BKS player is the coach of B-class side Majdan Bolesławice.
Before the match, Chrystian Serkies also received a gift in the form of a new pair of football boots. The award was funded and presented to the player by Deputy Starosta Stanisław Chwojnicki. In this way, the deputy starosta decided to reward BKS players who score the first goal in home matches. If the same player scores again in the next match, the team will decide who should receive the next pair of boots.
The beginning of the first half was even. The visitors were particularly dangerous from set pieces. In the 14th minute, Mrowiec took a free kick. Fortunately for BKS, he missed the target. Łukasz Filipiak tried to shoot at the Kobierzyce goal, but the effort was too weak to surprise the visiting goalkeeper. In the 25th minute, Łukasz Polański failed to take advantage of a good opportunity for BKS. After an uncertain intervention by the goalkeeper, the ball fell straight to the BKS player. However, he narrowly missed. In the 32nd minute, the match was decided. Chrystian Serkies shot at the GKS goal from 20 metres. The shot was not particularly powerful, but the bouncing ball deceived the Kobierzyce goalkeeper and landed in the net.
Bolesławiec dominated in the second half. As early as the 46th minute, Emil Nowakowski produced a superb shot. At the last moment, the visiting goalkeeper tipped the ball heading for the top corner over for a corner. Later in the game, BKS players treated the supporters to a festival of inaccurate shots. Kamil Mielnik and Ariel Sworacki, among others, shot at the Kobierzyce goal. Unfortunately, our players’ aim was badly off that day. The ball most often missed the crossbar and posts by a wide margin. The players should work on this aspect in training. Jacek Bochnia had another good match. The player impressed with his composure and passing accuracy. Late in the game, Kamil Milenik failed to take a good scoring opportunity. Instead of shooting, the player tried at all costs to lay the ball off into the penalty area. However, the cross was blocked by the visiting defenders. BKS Bobrzanie defeated GKS Kobierzyce 1–0.
