BKS is not slowing down. On Saturday, March 25, at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec, as part of the Western Group of the Lower Silesian IV League competition, the Bolesławiec team faced Górnik Złotoryja. The match promised to be extremely exciting not only because Bolesławiec are fighting to remain at this level of competition, while the solidly performing visitors were higher in the table before the match. The fact that several BKS graduates played for Górnik on the Bolesławiec pitch (Daniel Ziółkowski, Oskar Małecki and Michał Piotrowski) added further excitement. Filip Zagórski, who played for Górnik in the previous round, appeared for BKS. Gabriel Piotrowski, Michał’s brother, also played in BKS colors.

Returning to the match itself, both teams had scoring chances in the first half. For the visitors, Daniel Ziółkowski and Krzysztof Kaliciak failed to convert good opportunities. In both cases, they missed the target. BKS also had its chances. Maciej Szewczyk came closest to scoring, with the ball hitting the post after his shot. On several occasions, the Złotoryja goalkeeper, who defended his goal well, stopped BKS players at the last moment.

BKS gained the upper hand in the second half. The hosts kept possession for longer and attacked more dangerously. After one move, the post once again stood in the way of the ball reaching the net. Finally, around the 80th minute, the only goal of the match was scored. Jacek Bochnia put his name on the scoresheet, taking advantage of an uncertain intervention by the Górnik goalkeeper and heading the ball into the net. The score did not change for the remainder of the match. BKS – Górnik Złotoryja 1:0 (0:0).
