On Wednesday, 8 March, a meeting was held in the councillors’ hall of Bolesławiec Town Hall, during which the board of the HDK–PCK Bolesławiec club, together with the local government authorities, extended greetings to the women active in the club of Bolesławiec blood donors (who donate blood). There were greetings, flowers and sweet refreshments. The flowers were funded by the Stowarzyszenie Ziemia Bolesławiecka.
The meeting was attended by Roman Bodak, Chair of the Municipal HDK–PCK Club, who took the opportunity to summarise the HDK club’s recent activities. Also present at the meeting were, among others, Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Renata Szewczyk, City Council Chair Józef Pokładek, Deputy Chair of the Bolesławiec County Council Barbara Kuduk and Deputy Chair of Stowarzyszenie Ziemia Bolesławiecka Przemysław Godek.
Among their many activities, Bolesławiec blood donors are working, among other things, to establish a permanent blood donation centre at the Wojewódzki Szpital dla Nerwowo i Psychicznie Chorych w Bolesławcu. Currently, blood can be donated at a mobile unit of the Regional Blood Donation and Blood Therapy Centre, stationed at the Wojewódzki Szpital dla Nerwowo i Psychicznie Chorych at al. Tysiąclecia. In the near future, the mobile unit will be in Bolesławiec from 22 to 31 March, on working days.
