On Friday morning (24 February), our reader went to the Chumed clinic on Tysiąclecia Avenue in Bolesławiec. The man had come for occupational medicine and commented on the situation he encountered there as follows:

At Chumed, people are given a number and sent outside, where they wait in the cold for registration. What a sick country.

The reader added that when he arrived, around 50 people were waiting to be admitted along with him. There were only about seven people inside, while the rest were waiting outside.

Another reader wrote:

Please address the issue of the Chumed clinic, specifically occupational medicine. Namely, after opening, the receptionist hands out registration numbers and sends everyone outside the building, where they are told to wait. She explains this by referring to some regulation. When asked to show the regulation, she refers people to the clinic's owner.

This raises the question of whether people really have to freeze in front of the building and whether this cannot be limited—for example, by organizing everything differently.

We asked the Chumed Clinic for a comment on the matter. We are awaiting a response.

In the meantime, the Chumed clinic's website greets all visitors with the following announcement:

Dear Sir or Madam!
We are introducing a limit on admissions to occupational medicine
60 people per day (until further notice)
Appointments with an occupational medicine doctor
take place on the day of registration!
We remind you to follow the generally applicable hygiene rules!
