At the end of January this year, we reported that a one-of-a-kind collection of plates had been created at the Manufaktura in Bolesławiec. They feature graphics created by the head of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Jurek Owsiak.

We have good news! The unique dishes were put up for auction as part of this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity campaign. And with fantastic results! They were sold for a record 13901 PLN. These are probably the most expensive plates in the history of Bolesławiec ceramics!

How did the cooperation between the Bolesławiec company and the head of WOŚP come about? – Jurek Owsiak already recognizes our ceramics and remembered our previous cooperation – explains Pavlina Stefańczyk from the Bolesławiec Manufaktura. – We came up with a project for transferring his graphics onto our plates.

She adds that the head of WOŚP himself had just one request: it was to be as colorful as possible!

– It is always worth helping – says Paweł Zwierz, co-owner of the Manufaktura in Bolesławiec. – Through our joint reference to the activities of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we want to emphasize that the Manufaktura in Bolesławiec is closer to people.

– It is a brand known all over the world. I don't think there is an apartment in Poland without something made of Bolesławiec ceramics – comments J. Owsiak. – It is handmade, and we must remember that. And the way our beautiful colors have been wonderfully captured on the dishes… This collection is a delight.

It is worth adding that it is possible that the head of WOŚP himself will soon try his hand at decorating ceramics at the Bolesławiec Manufaktura. We will certainly return to this topic.
