The incident occurred on the A-18 motorway, past the Golnice exit, in the direction of Germany. While overtaking, the driver of a Citroën BX 16 hit a safety barrier. The car rolled over and collided with a Ford Focus. Parts of the Citroën flew onto the opposite carriageway and hit another passenger car.
The couple traveling in the Citroën was injured in the accident. The man and woman were taken to hospital. Fortunately, the driver of the Ford Focus and the driver of the car hit by the parts from the Citroën were unharmed. The Citroën had German registration plates.
