For many years, Carrefour Bolesławiec has helped educational institutions, organizations, social organizations and parishes in Bolesławiec County by providing in-kind donations. The company is socially engaged and willing to cooperate and help others.

Carrefour Bolesławiec supports, among others, the Vegefani Club at the Municipal Public Library, thereby helping to develop knowledge about healthy food. It also supports numerous collections, including Aid for Ukraine and the Christmas Food Collection organized by Food Banks for more than 20 years.

The certificate was accepted at the gala by the hypermarket’s director, Tomasz Słoniec.

“We did not seek this prestigious recognition of our activities, so I am all the more pleased that we were noticed and appreciated,” said Tomasz Słoniec.

After a two-year break, a special ceremony took place at the Old Theatre: the Gala of the “Volunteer of the Year 2022 of Bolesławiec County” Competition.

The event’s host, County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak, welcomed the guests gathered at the gala. “Today, we have in this room people who are able to share themselves and help another person,” said Tomasz Gabrysiak. “The greyness of recent years, the pandemic and the war in Ukraine does not dominate because volunteers are active—people who give hope that tomorrow will be better,” the county governor added.

Tomasz Gabrysiak emphasized that the most important thing is that one person is good to another, and that this is an invaluable virtue. “We have a multitude of people helping women refugees from the war and helping Poles abroad. Bolesławiec is a city of people who want to help,” the county governor concluded his speech.
