The bus will have a low-floor design and be adapted to carry people with disabilities. It will also be powered by an electric motor with a capacity of at least 160 kW. The Municipality has received funding from the Fund in the form of a PLN 1,770,000.00 grant and a PLN 100,000.00 loan. The planned environmental impact includes reducing CO2 emissions by 24.63568 Mg per year, reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by 0.02985 Mg per year, and reducing emissions of particulate matter with a diameter of less than 10 micrometres (PM10) by 0.00012 Mg per year.

Funding for the development of electric bus transport will be provided by NFOŚiGW to Legnica, Bolesławiec and Głogów—towns in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Grants and loans provided under the Green Public Transport programme will enable the beneficiaries to launch a quiet, zero-emission fleet, build charging stations and establish professional technical teams.

The agreements governing the transfer of funds were signed in Legnica on 8 November this year, in the presence of, among others, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Ireneusz Zyska. They were signed by NFOŚiGW Vice-President of the Management Board Artur Michalski, Legnica Mayor Tadeusz Krzakowski, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and Głogów Mayor Rafael Rokaszewicz.

The buses will be adapted to the needs of all stakeholders, including people with disabilities, seniors and parents with prams.
