This honorary title will be awarded by the Bolesławiec County Starost to those who stand out through their volunteer work in various areas of life—culture, sport, social assistance, health promotion, ecology, tourism and activities for people with disabilities.
The competition is held in the following categories:
- adult volunteer,
- youth volunteer,
- non-governmental organization,
- donor,
- occasional volunteering,
- volunteer with a big heart—someone who particularly stands out through their volunteer work.
We therefore invite county residents, schools, non-governmental organizations, parishes and institutions working with volunteers to submit nominations for people, companies or organizations whom they would like to thank for their selflessness, commitment and kindness.
Applications may be submitted by 14 November this year. (the date of receipt by the Starosty is decisive). When reviewing them, the competition committee will consider, among other things, such factors as commitment to volunteer work, the innovativeness of activities, the ability to cooperate, the frequency and consistency of activities, the effectiveness and efficiency of the work, and the ability to involve and encourage others to engage in volunteer work.
