In Bolesławiec, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture is located at ul. Komuny Paryskiej 38.

Associations registered in the National Court Register and established exclusively to create and operate Family Allotment Gardens are eligible to apply for a grant. These entities may submit more than one application under the competition. Importantly, a given Family Allotment Garden may apply for support only once.

The grant for one Family Allotment Garden is no less than PLN 10,000 and no more than PLN 100,000 and must concern investments in common areas. In the case of a Family Allotment Garden with more than 400 individual plots, the maximum grant is determined by multiplying the number of plots by PLN 250. However, it may not exceed PLN 150,000.

Eligible costs are those incurred from the date the grant application is submitted through August 31, 2023. The maximum 12-month project implementation period must also end by that date. Importantly, the grant beneficiary is not required to provide its own financial contribution.

The types of investments for which a Family Allotment Garden may receive support are specified in the competition rules. At least 50 percent of the funds received must be used for environmentally or climate-friendly projects, such as:

  • installing green roofs on existing buildings, together with the necessary infrastructure for maintaining the greenery;
  • creating or renovating so-called green walls, provided that the historic urban landscape is preserved and visibility for road and pedestrian traffic is not obstructed;
  • greening all kinds of surfaces with honey-bearing plants, including roofs and fences.

In turn, a maximum of 30 percent of the grant may be allocated to infrastructure investments carried out in the common areas of Family Allotment Gardens, such as:

  • constructing graduation towers together with site development,
  • constructing and modernizing tanks for liquid waste,
  • constructing household sewage treatment plants,
  • modernizing drainage channels and ditches and maintaining them in proper technical condition.

The grant may also be used to establish children’s playgrounds or create first-aid stations equipped, among other things, with a first-aid kit, disposable gloves and a defibrillator.

Eligible activities also include indirect costs and expenses incurred to prepare technical documentation (in both cases, a maximum of 10 percent of the grant awarded).
