The Mayor of Bolesławiec, the Board of the Bolesławiec Branch of the Siberians’ Association and the headteacher of Primary School No. 2 in Bolesławiec organized another March of Living Memory of Polish Siberia. It took place on Friday, September 16.
At the municipal cemetery, wreaths and flowers were laid beneath the monument “In Tribute to the Polish Martyrs of Siberia and Those Murdered in Katyn and the Gulags.”
Maria Niemczuk, president of the Bolesławiec Branch of the Siberians’ Association, said in her speech:
Young people should know that freedom is not given to any nation for free or forever. They should guard it like the apple of their eye, because nations are expansionist and very eager to subjugate their neighbors, regardless of the consequences. As we can see today.
