The incident occurred after 8:20 p.m. near a bus stop on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec. A female driver hit a 13-year-old girl with a passenger car and fled the scene.
“We were crossing toward the stadium. We were in the middle of the road. The woman slowed down, then suddenly accelerated,” a witness said, describing the incident.
After hitting the 13-year-old girl, the woman stopped the car in the middle of the street and asked whether she could help.
“I said yes. She stopped here in the parking lot. She asked whether she should call someone. I was already planning to call 112 and her parents. Then some man got out of the car, said something to her, and they got back in together and drove in that direction,” the witness said.
The woman was driving an Audi A3.
The girl will be taken to the hospital in Legnica for observation.
