On Saturday (22 May), BKS played its 26th match of the Lower Silesian fourth-tier competition. The team’s opponent was Konfeks Legnica. Unfortunately, after a poor performance, the Bolesławiec side suffered another defeat. In the 20th minute, Chrystian Serkies shot wide. The visitors responded in the 23rd minute. Following a set piece, Bartłomiej Ławkiel directed the ball into the BKS goal. Interestingly, this was the first dangerous opportunity created by the Legnica side. After conceding, our team had several good chances to equalise. In the 24th minute, Kamil Mielnik shot wide. A moment later, Krzysztof Szymański hit the visitors’ goalkeeper directly. In the 41st minute, BKS equalised following a free kick. Błażej Rajchel scored with a fine header. In the 45th minute, it could already have been 2:1, but Adam Klimas sent the ball over the crossbar.
In the second half, the Bolesławiec side presented their supporters with a festival of missed chances. In the 51st minute, Mateusz Mucha shot wide. Marcin Głowacki, Adam Klimas once again and Kamil Mielnik also failed to convert their scoring opportunities. In the 85th minute, the visitors scored the winning goal. Remigiusz Postrożny got his name on the scoresheet. Near the end of the match, Adam Klimas had to leave the pitch after receiving a second yellow card. BKS lost 1:2 to Konfeks Legnica. Our team played a poor match and dropped from ninth to 10th place in the competition table. Next Wednesday, BKS will play an away match against Lechia Dzierżoniów.
