Operations are underway in Osła. It turns out that Prodigo has already been inspected by the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Wrocław. – By decision of the Bolesławiec County Head dated 17 October 2016, the company received a permit to generate waste resulting from the operation of installations. Following an inspection, which resulted in a decision dated 31 October 2016, six inspections were carried out at the company: two upon request (2016, 2017), two intervention inspections (2017, 2019) and two scheduled inspections (2017, 2021) – Beata Merenda, spokesperson for WIOŚ Wrocław, informed the istotne.pl service. Beata Merenda, spokesperson for WIOŚ Wrocław, added: – During the intervention inspection carried out in 2017 and the scheduled inspection conducted in the same year, irregularities were found that did not pose a threat to or cause pollution of the environment.
What are WIOŚ’s plans in connection with the gigantic fire in Osła?
The spokesperson: – In connection with the ongoing firefighting operation (information from the State Fire Service Headquarters in Bolesławiec dated 11 August 2022), an assessment was carried out under Article 10b. The planned intervention inspection will begin after the Fire Service has completed its activities.
