Anna Krejci not only found friends in the city of ceramics, but also discovered her second home there. She left Gdynia, her hometown, for the United States. In Louisville, she started a family; she has a husband, Robert, and a daughter, Michelle. In the city of horse racing and bourbon, Anna opened her company, Surroundings Polish Pottery. Her life changed when, several years ago, she visited Bolesławiec during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival.
Anna knew no one in Bolesławiec, but Andrzej Pachom from Ceramika Kaola and Wiesława Seneszyn, the owner of Ceramika Millena, showed her great kindness. Anna Krejci’s enthusiasm and love for ceramics won her the friendship of local ceramic artists. Anna turned her vision for promoting Bolesławiec pottery into a project to create an artistic ceramics center in Louisville, a small American city whose residents have big hearts. That is why Anna is convinced that the two cities, Bolesławiec and Louisville, have much in common.
