On Saturday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bolesławiec market square, Federacja Młodych Socjaldemokratów will hold the “Life Card” campaign. Activists from the left-wing youth organization will hand out life cards to passers-by—cardboard wallet inserts the size of a small calendar. Filling one out will indicate consent to organ transplantation after death.
“We are repeating our initiative because the problem is still relevant,” says Paweł Zieliński, head of FMS in Bolesławiec. “Every year, transplants give thousands of people a chance to survive. There could be even more such people! Everything depends on whether we consent to organ transplantation after death. Let us remember that we may also need it. The problem of the small number of transplants concerns us all.”
